It’s not surprising that 3 different perfumers are laying claim as the “official” cologne of John F. Kennedy – Jockey Club, Creed Vetiver, and the German cologne 4711. Our interpretation combines the three repeating fragrances found in all three of the contenders. Each of the colognes that sat atop Kennedy’s dresser boasted bergamot, mandarin orange, and a combination of musky-woody fragrances – Vetiver forward.
The result is a scent reminiscent of springtime in the south – invigorating and green, the sweet and zesty blend of Earl Gray tea, and a fresh citrus explosion of mandarin orange and lemon.
