A “brewery candle” is still a very new concept in the world of candle scents. One of the most frequently asked questions we get is “What is as brewery candle?” If you are a craft beer lover, the idea of a candle smelling like your favorite brew probably sounds like an amazing idea. If beer isn’t really your thing, the thought of a beer candle might not be your first choice when looking for a great smelling candle. The best way we can describe a brewery candle is to introduce you to an actual craft beer menu.
Have you ever read a brewery’s craft beer menu?
That is the perfect way to start learning about the aroma of a Barley & Hops Craft Candle. Even if you are not a beer drinker, you can not deny that the descriptions below sound like they would taste delicious.
Samuel Smith’s Organic Chocolate Stout
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard water is drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic chocolate malt and real organic cocoa used in this ale impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish – this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate that will lead to smiles and refills.
Samuel Smith’s brews in traditional coppers, uses stone ‘Yorkshire Squares’ for fermentation, and ships every bottle from the brewery with great pride.
Mark Twain Brewery’s Halley’s Blueberry Saison
Our version of this classic Belgian style is slightly sweet but ultimately thirst-quenching. The use of French Saison yeast adds hints of citrus fruit, Chardonnay grapes, cloves, and black pepper, giving balance to the biscuity, sweet flavors of the malt bill. To enhance the natural fruitiness of the style, we add fresh blueberries during primary fermentation.
A perfect homage to the spring and summer months.
Sounds amazing, huh? We think so too. We are in the process of getting this brewery waxed!
Boulevard Brewery’s Cranberry Orange Radler
Beautifully hazy and slightly pink in color, Cranberry Orange Radler will open with an aroma of sweet blood oranges and just a hint of cranberry. The blood orange character boldly manifests in the flavor giving way to cranberry tartness.
The base beer, Unfiltered Wheat Beer, contributes a slightly sweet bready flavor to the malt profile of the beer that shines with bright citrus flavor and a touch of acidity.
